Celebrating Graduation Day

Friendship Golf Tournament Scholarship Fundraiser

Each year, The Sophisticated Gents of Florida partner with The African American Club of The Villages to raise money to support our Scholarship Initiatives. Scholarships are awarded to selected high school seniors from Sumter, Marion and Lake Counties who pursue higher education after graduation from high school. Most of the scholarship recipients are from low income families, and the overwhelming majority are first generation in their families to go to college.

We are particularly proud of The Friendship Golf Tournament Fundraiser, which brings together donations from members of both organizations and our business and community partners, and from the net proceeds from the annual signature event, to support the higher education of young people in our community. This year’s Friendship Golf Tournament is scheduled for November 4, 2023. We know many of you are looking forward to participating in this annual event, but keep in mind the tournament is but one major piece of an over-arching scholarship fund-raising initiative.

As 501(c)(3) organizations, your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law, and you will receive a receipt for your records. To donate to or for more information on The Friendship Golf Tournament Scholarship Fundraiser, click here to proceed to the Sophisticated Gents of Florida’s website.

Thank you in advance for your contribution!
